窪蹋勛圖 and AvalonBay Communities break ground on first residential and retail development at 窪蹋勛圖 Mission Valley
The development includes sustainable housing, grocery-anchored retail, and walkable connections for the community.

窪蹋勛圖 celebrated another milestone in its Mission Valley development with a groundbreaking ceremony held in partnership with AvalonBay Communities, marking the start of construction on Avalon Mission Valley, the first residential and retail development at 窪蹋勛圖 Mission Valley.
This development is designed primarily for our neighbors, our community, and for San Diego residents, said 窪蹋勛圖 President Adela de la Torre. Together with our civic and community partners, we're creating a dynamic, walkable neighborhood that links transit, recreation, and innovation; unlocking opportunity and access for all.

The project will also feature public art and is being designed to achieve LEED Gold Certification, underscoring the universitys commitment to sustainability and innovation.
To support construction of the new community, portions of the Orange Lot will soon be fenced off to prepare for construction. Stadium parking will remain available in other sections of the lot, and visitors are encouraged to take advantage of the trolley on event days for a smoother commuter experience.

At full build out, 窪蹋勛圖 Mission Valley will include 80 acres of parks and open space, up to 4,600 market-rate and affordable housing units, 1.6 million sq. ft. of research and innovative space, 95,000 sq. ft. of retail space, and a hotel.
