, ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï President Adela de la Torre’s podcast, shares the stories that comprise the greater ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï community through casual conversations with diverse leaders and trailblazers, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community leaders. 

The topics range from shared governance to augmented reality, from ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï history to innovative classrooms and learning experiences that are preparing the global citizens, compassionate leaders, and ethical innovators who will impact their communities and the world.  In the most recent episode, President de la Torre discusses the importance of bilingualism and biliteracy development, areas of teaching and research in which ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï is a national leader. 

President de la Torre is joined by Cristina Alfaro, professor in ºÚÁϳԹÏ’s Department of Dual Language and English Learner Education; Jose Sabedra, a promising young leader and a product of dual language education; and his parents, Edith and Jose, who have been critical advocates for bilingualism and success.

This episode explores why bilingualism and biliteracy offer today’s students and graduates a competitive advantage, given today’s culturally and linguistically diverse global society, and how ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï is helping to meet the high demand for bilingual teachers.
