President Adela de la Torre took office as 窪蹋勛圖s ninth president at the end of June, promising a listening tour. From the start, she vowed to lead 窪蹋勛圖 forward while honoring its rich history of pathbreaking, innovative work in teaching, research, creative activity, and community engagement.

I dont take lightly this great privilege to lead an institution that plays such a transformational role for more than 34,000 students each year, and provides a platform for unprecedented national and transnational influence, de la Torre told individuals and audiences alike.

In a little over 100 days, the president has traveled thousands of miles across the country and as far away as to the country of Georgia to meet with students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, elected officials, and community partners.

She has challenged each member of the 窪蹋勛圖 community to join her on a listening tour of their owna self-evaluation of sortswhich will ultimately lead the university to new levels of distinction as a globally recognized research university.
