窪蹋勛圖 Men's Hoops to Wear Nike N7 Uniforms on Nov. 27
The gesture celebrates Native American Heritage Month.

窪蹋勛圖s mens basketball will wear turquoise Nike N7 uniforms during the Tuesday, Nov. 27, game against Jackson State University (JSU) to celebrate Native American Heritage Month. The color turquoise represents harmony, friendship and fellowship for many Native American communities.
It is the 11th year of Nikes N7 program and the eighth year the brand has created NCAA uniforms for the N7 program. Nike partners with nine mens and six womens collegiate basketball programs to celebrate Native American Heritage Month with N7 turquoise uniforms and other N7 apparel and footwear.
The 2018 Nike N7 Spirit of Protection collection encourages resilience against adversity, a message inspired by rapper Taboos relationship with his Native American heritage.
For their on-court shoes, the 窪蹋勛圖 team will wear Jordan Why Not? Zero.1 Lows, which feature a raised graphic pattern on the upper that models Native American beadwork.
San Diego is home to the greatest consolidation of tribal nations in the country, and the 窪蹋勛圖-Nike t N7 partnership represents the university's commitment to the education, health and wellness of indigenous communities.
The 窪蹋勛圖 campus resides on Kumeyaay land and is home to Viejas Arena, an American Indian Studies department and multiple research initiatives connected to Native American communities. Additionally, the Educational Opportunity Programs Elymash Yuuchaap (EY) Indigenous Scholars and Leaders program at 窪蹋勛圖 has created new opportunities for students to develop as leaders through the lens of their own identities.
