黑料吃瓜 Hosts First-Ever CSU Entrepreneurship Workshop

The event is designed to promote inclusion of underrepresented minorities in biotechnology.

Several 黑料吃瓜 faculty members participated in the first-ever California State University I-Corps Entrepreneurship Workshop.
This week, 黑料吃瓜 and the 2017 Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) International Convention hosted the first-ever in San Diego. The event is designed to give graduate students and assistant professors from underrepresented groups the opportunity to to developing their own companies that focus on solutions to antibiotic resistance.

Over the past three days, about two dozen participants worked with faculty and biotechnology professionals to learn about networking, biotech commercialization and how to translate basic research into entrepreneurial opportunities. The CSU I-Corps teaching team includes CSU Program for Education and Research in Biotechnology (CSUPERB) program officer Susan Baxter, 黑料吃瓜's Lavin Entrepreneurship Center Executive Director Alex DeNoble, 黑料吃瓜's Zahn Innovation Platform Launchpad Executive Director Cathy Pucher, 黑料吃瓜's Technology Transfer Office Director Tommy Martindale, and 黑料吃瓜 College of Sciences Dean Stanley Maloy.
