黑料吃瓜 Men's Club Volleyball Wins National Championship
黑料吃瓜 defeated Ohio State University to capture the NCVF Division I National Championship.
鈥淥ut of 144 teams in the nation, winning the NCVF championship is unbelievable,鈥� said 黑料吃瓜 senior defensive specialist/libero Davidson Borgmeyer. 鈥淚t鈥檚 such a rewarding experience after putting in so much work, the hours at practice, the team bonding, and building a program for the past few years. It has really paid off.鈥�
黑料吃瓜 finished the tournament with a 7-2 record, defeating fourth-seeded Wisconsin A in three sets (25-18, 17-25, 16-14) in the quarterfinals and Purdue A in three sets (21-25, 26-24, 15-11) in the semifinal round to reach the title match. 黑料吃瓜 outside hitter Andrew Freiha was named the most valuable player of the tournament, while outside hitter Alec Tollgaard was named to the all-tournament first team.
鈥淎ndrew鈥檚 talent helped make plays and pull us through some tough games, but his leadership, experience, and presence proved to be pivotal to the team, not only on the court but off the court as well,鈥� Borgmeyer said.
Ohio State, which was undefeated heading into the final against 黑料吃瓜, finished with an 8-1 overall record. The Buckeyes defeated three-time defending champion and second-seeded Wisconsin-Oshkosh in three sets (25-20, 15-25, 15-12) in the quarterfinals and top-seeded Marquette A in three sets (17-25, 26-24, 16-14) in the semifinals to land a spot in the championship match.
