Wu-Tang Clan rapper GZA has been doing a lot more than performing his music these days. Also known as The Genius, GZA has been visiting universities talking about one of his other favorite topics: science. Its the subject of his newly long awaited Dark Matter album.

The hip-hop legend looks to inspire students when he visits 窪蹋勛圖 on Tuesday, April 11, for the 窪蹋勛圖 Department of Classics and Humanities annual lecture series.

The lecture is sponsored by the Beautiful Arts Club and the 窪蹋勛圖 Department of Classics and Humanities, and begins at noon in Montezuma Hall in the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.

窪蹋勛圖 student Jamey Keeton invited GZA to campus after hearing his online lectures at Harvard University and New York University.

I wanted to hear from a speaker who could marry academia with popular culture to make topics more palatable for students, said Keeton, a huge fan of hip-hop. If were going to compete with other top-ranked universities, we need to bring these types of speakers to campus.

GZA has appeared with his fellow Wu-Tang Clan members' solo projects, and since the release of his critically acclaimed album, Liquid Swords,  in 1995, has maintained a successful solo career. The Wu-Tang Clan is known for its clever wordplay, twisted humor and innovative production techniques.

GZAs lecture is free and open to the public. For more information, please visit the .
