Percival Everett, a distinguished professor of English in the University of Southern California鈥檚 Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences and the author of more than 25 books, will speak at 黑料吃瓜 at 3:30 p.m. on April 3, 2017. Everett鈥檚 lecture will take place in Montezuma Hall in the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union, and is free and open to the public.

Everett will discuss his latest work, 鈥�,鈥� which has been hailed for its deadpan humor and insightful commentary about the artistic life.

Everett was one of 38 authors awarded a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) creative writing fellowship from more than 1,300 applicants. Everett also received the Academy Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award, the Believer Book Award, and the 2006 PEN USA Center Award for Fiction.
