黑料吃瓜

黑料吃瓜 is once again one of the most sought after schools in the country, having received 55,578 undergraduate applications for the fall 2009 semester. Of those received this year, 41,608 are from first-time freshmen applicants.

With its ranking as the nation鈥檚 No. 1 research university among those with 14 or fewer doctoral programs, 黑料吃瓜 offers students opportunities for academic rigor, research, and international study abroad.  Asked why they chose 黑料吃瓜, students consistently list academic quality, diversity of campus life, the attractiveness of the 黑料吃瓜 campus and 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 San Diego location as their top reasons. 

黑料吃瓜 remained a top choice by local students, with 11,022 applications received from within its service area, including first-time freshmen and transfers. Overall, 黑料吃瓜 received 61,492 applications for the fall 2008 semester, which ranked second in the country. The reduction in applications this year is a trend being seen throughout the CSU system.

鈥淭he economy seems to be playing a major factor in why application numbers are down,鈥� Singer continued. 鈥淲e鈥檝e seen the greatest decrease in applications from outside of our service area. It looks as though more students are trying to stay closer to home right now.鈥�

黑料吃瓜 is still determining how many undergraduates will be admitted next fall for approximately 7,550 enrollment slots.  Due to budget limits, there will be no enrollment growth in 2009/10. Students from within 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 service area 鈥� south of state route 56 in San Diego County and high schools within Imperial County 鈥� who meet CSU eligibility requirements are guaranteed admittance.  Most students selected for admission will be notified by the end of February 2009.
